I'm grateful for the 1,168 subscribers who receive our reGEN Journal on LinkedIn. As we walk into 2026, I'm hoping you might consider introducing me to one referral who you feel may resonate with my work as the founder of reGEN impact media. Why, because what we build relationally and intentionally lasts.

To make this ask easy for you, I'll re-introduce myself and who I am now. I'd love to encourage you to do the same in the comments below. I'd love to meet you and learn who you are in 2026, to connect on a deeper level.
I'm Charlene SanJenko. I'm a wife, mother, sister, daughter, and granddaughter. I'm an adult-adoptee and a proud member of Splatsin Nation. I'm an Indigenous Storyteller, Media Innovator, and Intuitive Visionary. I'm proud to walk beside the team at The Fireweed Institute as Lead Storyteller.
I create at the intersection of identity, imagination, narrative for transformational impact. My work centers rhythm, presence, intuition, and resonance as forces that shape not only what we see, but how we understand ourselves and one another. I work with story, media, and platform to expand access to cultural voices, deepen relational meaning, regenerate hope, healing, and belief, and invite collective shifts in perspective.
Guided by an impact-first storytelling philosophy, my practice is not simply about visibility. It is about aligning presence with purpose so that narratives become vessels for change.
A foundational teaching shared with me by my Indigenous teacher, mentor, and friend, Wenecwtsin, guides this work: We can heal ourselves and our families in three generations if we keep it a sacred priority. This understanding shapes both the intention behind my work and the responsibility I hold as a storyteller.
My creative process blends reflection, reverence, and strategic clarity. I integrate technology as an ally rather than a replacement, using it to access opportunities, leverage natural-born talent and gifts, and amplify truth without distorting it. Through my work, I seek to strengthen interconnection, honour lineage and community, and contribute to futures shaped by resonance, care, harmony, and possibility. The seeds we plant now can shift the trajectory for future generations.
Leadership Legacy Storytelling Project with Wenecwtsin: After collaborating with my teacher on our short film, Coming Home for the Children, we are returning to this work in 2026 through an interactive project that captures Wenecwtsin’s 40+ year leadership legacy. Alongside the reGEN creative team, I’m honoured to support this effort while piloting a user-friendly creative tool that empowers community members to share the stories of their elders and families.
Lead Storyteller, The Fireweed Institute: In this leadership role, I'm proud to serves as Lead Storyteller for The Fireweed Institute, a national Centre of Excellence for Indigenous entrepreneurship and innovation. My focus is stewarding Fireweed’s narrative, impact storytelling, and thought leadership to support a strong national launch, 2026 Venture Accelerator, aligned partnerships, and long-term resonance, bringing depth, coherence, and care to the stories that carry this work forward and share the ripple of its impact.
reGEN hybrid SaaS and Micro-Studio Ecosystem: In 2026, I’ll be exploring a new model that brings media innovation and community-based economic development into closer conversation, reimagining what’s possible for the creative industry, especially in rural and Indigenous communities. This innovative work explores at how personalized media technology, regenerative storytelling, and small, community-rooted creative hubs could work together to support sustainable livelihoods, narrative sovereignty, and locally grounded innovation with a hub-and-spoke approach to decentralized production. The focus will be on relationship-building, partnership exploration, and assessing real appetite, while prototyping what a decentralized, values-led media ecosystem could look like if the right funding, collaborators, and community support are in place.
Nurture Capital and Catalytic Capital: Along with the team at Fireweed, I look forward to continuing my learning and relationship-building in both nurture and catalytic capital.
A Circular Matriarchal Approach to Media and Destination Marketing: A values-led approach that reimagines how and why stories are told and destinations - whether online or on the land - deliver wrap-around supports, transformative tools, and meaningful experiences that are accessible, trusted, and sustained, prioritizing relationship, cultural integrity, and long-term impact over clicks and campaigns.
