A multi-day digital media arts exhibition, mini-documentary screening & listening circle with personal reflection components, featuring a 40-year journey and unlikely friendship of Kukpi7 Wayne Christian and Charlene SanJenko, For The Children. This community event series launched in Gibsons, BC in September 2022 in anticipation of the National Day of Truth and Reconciliation on September 20th, with funding from the Government of Canada. UPCOMING PROJECTS: OUR NATION HEALS is a community-based healing initiative that combines the power of Indigenous storytelling, digital media arts, and the rippling impact of co-facilitated, small-group listening circles. It inspires hope.
With support from the Province of British Columbia, a pilot program will begin in Fall 2022. OUR NATION HEALS is co-created and co-facilitated by former Kukpi7 Wayne Christian and Splatsin member Charlene SanJenko. The program launches in Splatsin (Enderby, BC). Partnership opportunities and program inquires welcome.
